Response:

Having read through this a few times, there's not a lot to disagree with. All four of these anglers can make a case for themselves. I think you can't have a discussion of whose the best without mentioning Roland Martin, Rick Clunn, or KVD. If you ask most people in this current time period, they're obviously going to say KVD, having only just retired. (I think he's gonna come back) Rick Clunn has been around for a very long time though. No one else has had the longevity that he has, having just fished his 500th tournament. Roland Martin also has an extensive history both on the television side and the pro circuit side.

If I had to pick just one, I'd for sure have to go with KVD. He revolutionized how pro anglers operate. If you watch him during a tournament, he doesn't leave a second to waste. It's one cast right after another. He singlehandedly showed everyone how to create and build relationships with sponsors. 4 Classic wins, 7 AOYs, and a host of other accomplishments. He's still to this day heavily involved with his sponsors.

I hope you found this week's topic interesting, and we will be back with another one next week. Deuces
